Event Invitations

La Poem performs in various venues (last updated on Dec. 26).

Most of the links allow you to watch La Poem's performances. For a video showing the whole event, I specified the time at which La Poem appears. 

 In 2021

  • kiwa Live Session (Dec. 24). Sunghoon was invited to Studio kiwa's live session with cellist Jinho Hong and performed Rachmaninov's Vocalise, Op. 34 No. 14. His performance is available to watch here at 6:27.
  • Joy Is Electric, Joy Forever Concert, BMW Korea (Dec. 19). La Poem was invited to a concert hosted by BMW Korea. La Poem performed a total of seven songs including an encore. The concert was aired on the YouTube channel of BMW Korea at the time of the event, which is no longer available to watch. The venue was BMW Driving Center. * La Poem was invited to the same type of BMW Korea concert held last year (Dec. 11, 2020). 
  • The Opening Ceremony of the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival (Dec. 17). La Poem was invited to the opening ceremony and performed three songs–Sunshine, One Day More, and Amigos Para Siempre as closing the ceremony. La Poem's performance is available to watch here at 1:32:00. The ceremony was broadcast live on Ulsan MBC and three YouTube channels (UIFF, Ulsan MBC Music, Ulsan MBC Program Plus) simultaneously. The venue was Ulsan Culture & Arts Center, Ulsan. 
  • Naver Onstage Special Project Special Live (Dec. 8). La Poem was invited to the live show aired on Naver Onstage. La Poem was interviewed for a good amount of time and performed their moon series Crescent, Half Moon, and Full Moon. * Onstage selected four teams of singers for this special project after going through a rigorous selection process. The process was the following: 
    • First, Onstage received recommendations from ordinary people via social media and its blog for a month; 
    • Second, a total of 35 teams were selected out of circa 680 teams based on both the number of Likes and recommendations of five members of the organization committee; 
    • Finally, following hours of discussion the committee selected four teams including one team that received the highest number of Likes. The team that received the highest number of Likes was La Poem!
  • 2021 Pohang Love on K-Pop Concert (Dec. 3). Chaehoon was invited to this on- and offline hybrid K-Pop Concert, which was aired live on Youtube. He sang four songs including The Age of the Cathedrals for this event which was hosted and organized by Yeongnam Ilbo and sponsored by City of Pohang. The venue was Pohang Stadium, Pohang. Chaehoon's performance is available to watch here around 50:10 onward.
  • La Poem performs on Onstage.

    Naver Onstage Special Project (Dec. 1 & 2). La Poem was invited to the stage. Their performances of three songs Shining, Gleamy Night, and Love Serenade were released on Naver Now on Dec. 1st and on YouTube and Vibe Onstage on Dec. 2nd. Onstage is a music channel, produced by Naver Foundation of Arts, where promising musicians are invited and their songs are introduced.  
  • The 1st Round of Korean Series, Shinhan Bank Sol KBO League (Nov. 14). La Poem was invited to sing the national anthem of Korea in the opening ceremony of the series held in Gocheok Sky Dome. It was broadcast live on MBC and Naver Sports.
  • The 6th Incheon Munhak Mountain Encore Concert (Oct. 30). Minseong was invited to close the encore concert. It was aired live on YouTube channels of City of Incheon and OBS Gyeongin TV. He sang three songs (Leaning on Time, Votre Toast Opera, and This is the Moment), which is available to watch here at 1:51:55. 
  • Jeongseojin One Island Music Picnic (Oct. 30). La Poem was invited to perform on the first day of the music festival organized by Seo-gu, City of Incheon. Online and offline audiences watched the performance and was aired live on Seogu TV and Ruby Tube. La Poem sang six songs (Nelle Tue Mani, Shining, Love Serenade, Amigos Para Siempre, Time to Say Goodbye, and Gleamy Nigh), which is available to watch here at 38:30.
  • Culture Concert in the Road of Gingko Trees (Oct. 30). Minseong was invited to sing for the festival of arts and culture organized/hosted by Asan Foundation of Arts and Culture and sponsored by the city of Asan. The concert was aired live on the YouTube channel of Asan Foundation of Arts and Culture.   
  • The 16th Seoul International Drama Awards: Drama OST Concert (Oct. 29). The concert was opened by La Poem's "Lacrimosa" (recorded for the TV series Vincenzo OST) and short-interviews about drama OSTs, which is available to watch here at 6:56 (till 11:50). The concert was simultaneously aired on MBC M and the YouTube channel of Seoul International Drama Awards.
  • The 57th Citizen's Day Celebration (Oct. 15). La Poem was invited to perform to celebrate Incheon Citizen's Day. The event was hosted by City of Incheon and aired live on the City of Incheon YouTube channel. La Poem sang five songs which were Perfect Symphony, Fantasy, Gleamy Night, Shining, and Love Serenade. 
  • Baekma Island Fall Picnic, Never Stop! Indie Music Festival (Sept. undisclosed date). La Poem was invited to Baekma island and performed together. This event was organized by Gyeonggi Content Agency. A spin-off of this event was released on Youtube on Oct. 15, showing La Poem's talk and performance of Amigos Para Siempre.
  • The 42nd Gyeonggi Comprehensive Arts Festival (Sep. 24). Chaehoon and Sunghoon were invited to perform in this online festival, aired on Gyeonggi Yechong Youtube channel. The two singers appeared together and sang If Only. Sunghoon then performed Ombra Mai Fu and I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls solo. Chaehoon showed up next, performing This is the Moment and Il Mondo solo. For the last song of this festival, the two singers sang Nella Fantasia together.   • MBC <Gangbyeon Song Festival: Legends> (Sep. 11). La Poem was invited to perform along with other pop singers to celebrate the resurrection of Gangbyeon Song Festival that will resume next year. La Poem performed The Rose alone and Prayer with Hongsam Trio (Hong, Seunghyun). * Gangbyeon Song Festival hosted by MBC was a singing competition held in summer from 1979 to 2001. Many K-pop singers such as Hongsam Trio, Park Mi-kyung, Lee Sang-eun were borned out of Gangbyeon Song Festival and became star musicians. 
  • The 6th Incheon Munhak Mountain Autumn Concert (Sep. 4). La Poem was invited to perform along with other guest singers to the accompaniment of Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra for the 6th concert of Munhak Mountain Music Festival. The concert was aired live on YouTube channels of City of Incheon and OBS Gyeongin TV. The concert is hosted by City of Incheon and organized by OBS. Also, it is held on top of the mountain and used to be open to the public before the Covid-19 outbreak. La Poem sang Nelle Tue Mani, The Rose, Fantasy, and Waves, which is available to watch on the YouTube channel of City of Incheon at 32:12. The concert was broadcast on OBS on Sept. 18.  
  • Legend Meets Legend: Woo, Ju-ho ☓ You, Chaehoon, (Aug. 28). Baritone Woo, Ju-ho and tenor You, Chaehoon, whose hometowns are Pohang, were invited to perform in a series of Pohang Arts Festival, Starry Starry Pohang. It was held in Pohang Arts Center, Pohang. 
  • La Ventana, Bitgoeul Music Festival (Aug. 9). Chaehoon was invited as a quest singer for the concert of La Ventana held during the festival (Aug. 9-13). The venue was Bitgoeul Citizen's Culture Center, Gwangju. 
  • Pohang Citizens Day Ceremony (June 10). Chaehoon was invited to celebrate Pohang Citizens Day. He sang Il Mondo alone and Time to Say Goodbye, Brindisi, and O Sole Mio with Soprano Ye-Eun Kim. 
  • Never Stop! Indie Music Festival (May 28-30). La Poem was invited as one of 25 vocal groups to a three-day online music festival hosted by Gyeonggi province and Gyeonggi Content Agency. Three stages (blue, purple, and green) were set for three successive days. La Poem sang Dear My Dear, Fantasy, Gleamy Night, La Bikina, and Amigos Para Siempre on the green stage on May 30. This festival was broadcast on YouTube during the festival period. * According to Weekly Today, La Poem ranked the top in the number of viewers (approximately 2,100 viewers) watching the festival simultaneously. 
  • Healing Music Trip to Gokseong hosted by Gwangju MBC (May 25). La Poem was invited as one of several singers to sing at Gokseong Rose Park. La Poem sang Gleamy Night, Fantasy, La Vie en Rose, and the Rose. This music event was aired live on Gwangju MBC YouTube channel. 
  • Let's DMZ Concert "Peace, Again" (May 22). An online concert Gyeonggi province sponsored and Gyeonggi Arts Center hosted as a series of art festivals in pursuit of peace around DMZ (demilitarized zone). It was a large scale of concert which was held in Gyeonggi Arts Center and broadcast via YouTube and KBS 1TV on 22nd and 29th, respectively. La Poem performed Shining and Amigos Para Siempre, then joining a chorus performance Nella Fantasia.  * This concert would have been epic if it were held offline. Luckily, we can watch it on YouTube now. La Poem's performance begins at 38:00 or so.  
  • BMW Excellence Lounge. It was a series of private concerts that BMW Korea held for their customers. Chaehoon was invited to sing on May 2nd and performed seven songs. 
  • Yang Joon Mo's Opera Date (Apr. 28). Chaehoon was invited as a guest. Nevertheless, it seemed as if the show had been prepared for Chaehoon because the setlist was filled with his performances--sometimes alone and other times with Mr. Yang. It was held in Jeongdong Theater, Seoul. 
  • Online Book Concert: Jinho's Bookstore (Apr. 26). Sunghoon was invited as a guest to this concert in which musicians sang and performed musical instruments, with Hermann Hesse's poems intermittently discussed. It was held on Naver TV. Some of Sunghoon's performances have been uploaded on YouTube: Je te veux and Gaeyeowool. 
  • Online Concert: Modern Bboy in Gyeongsung (Apr. 23). Sunghoon was invited to an online concert that Yeong Yeol Ko of Rabidance holds monthly. The two singers performed alone and together. It was held at YouTube channel "CH.고영열." A behind-the-scene video is available here for free.

In 2020

  • The 25th anniversary of BMW Korea, Year-End Untact Concert "Together, Further" sponsored by BMW Korea (Dec. 11).
  • The 81st National Martyrs' Day Celebration organized by the Korean government (Nov. 17)
  • The 20th anniversary of Pink Ribbon Campaign, Mobile Live Concert sponsored by Estee Lauder companies (Oct. 15).
