A news involving Sunghoon cames as a (good) surprise. A TV series Vincenzo premiered on tvN on Feb. 20, and currently airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. Sunghoon participated in Vincenzo OST, which was released on Feb. 28.

In the OST, Sunghoon sang an opera aria "Ombra Mai Fu" composed by George Frideric Handel. This song is perfect for his voice type because Handel composed it for a soprano castrato

His song was played in the very early scenes of Episode 4 aired on Feb. 28. In these scenes, two people got hit by a truck and were taken to the hospital. But, one person died, and the other person was gravely injured. As these scenes were unfolding in slow motion, the daughter of the dead man was witnessing this tragedy, with Sunghoon's holy voice resonating in background.

Sunghoon's OST recording is truly a good start for La Poem and also himself. I hope that more good news are under way and surprise us again soon.

Continued on March, 4.

It's official! All La Poem members participated in Vincenzo OST recording.

On Feb, 28 (the same date on which Sunghoon's Ombra Mai Fu resonated during the episode), Lacrimosa composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was also played during a particular segment in which the passing of the dead man was mourned by his daughter and people indebted to him. As the music was resonating in background, we La Views heard something very familiar and began to wonder if the entire members of La Poem participated in the OST.

After the episode was over, La Views cautiously speculated the possibility of the entire members having participated in Vincenzo OST despite no official announcement being made yet. Many La Views clearly heard Chaehoon's voice. Some said that they had heard a countertenor voice, suggestive of Sunghoon. A quartet with a countertenor is only La Poem so far. This speculation was growing more and more, and amounted to high confidence that La Poem sang the song. Nonetheless, no announcement was officially made. No one could say about it happily and proudly.

Three days have passed since then. La Views were dying to get it confirmed. In the morning, SPOTV News broke the news, titled "[Exclusive] La Poem sang Lacrimosa, the OST for Vincenzo."

As I wrote above, good news were in fact under way and surprised (rather assured) us again. The voice of each member is already imprinted on our ears. The news had to be disclosed sooner or later.

Lacrimosa sung by La Poem was finally released as part of Vincenzo OST on March 21, 2021. Lacrimosa and La Poem are a match made in heaven. Their musical training background made them perfect for the song. It was beautifully done. Amen!

Here's one of comments made by La Poem fans (Instagram ID @dol_blue) on the song:

High tenor You Chaehoon's outstanding beauty leads the whole. Another tenor Park Kihun fills the space tightly. Countertenor Choi Sunghoon puts on a feathery, holy high note. Baritone Jeong Minseong envelops the whole with his rich voice. All these elements unite as an organism, completing La Poem's Lacrimosa.
