La View's Farewell Bus

More than a month ago, I wrote about La View's na-num (giveaways) story (see the post published on 05/17). Today I can't help but write about La View again. This story is about eight La Views living in Ulsan. 

After a long silence, we learned that La Poem's Scene#1 concert tour was going to resume in Ulsan on June 26-27. Without a doubt, it was a happy news to all La Views. But, the venue was going to be set in Ulsan, KBS Ulsan Hall, to be exact. 

Okay! Then how can I get to KBS Ulsan Hall? 

Obstacle 1

Since half of the Korean population live in Seoul and its neighboring province, it is safe to assume that a bulk of La View need to travel from the Seoul metropolitan area. As my one-day trip to Busan (see the post published on 04/25), many La Views were considering such a trip, and whether making that trip would be possible or not was a big concern for them.

 

In reality, it is nearly impossible to drive between the Seoul metropolitan area and Ulsan back and forth a day. For this reason, many La Views preferred using high-speed train service such as KTX and SRT. If Ulsan train station were fairly close to the concert venue, it wouldn't be so bad.

 

The problem, however, was that (a) the train station was too far from the venue, and that (b) public transportation was not provided as frequently as we would've liked it to be. In particular, the Saturday concert (on 26th) was

scheduled to start at 6 pm. Given previous experience, the duration of the concert may well go beyond 150 minutes, implying that the concert could go on by 9 pm. The Sunday concert (on 27th) could also be difficult to go to for those who had to think about going to work in the next morning although it was scheduled to begin a bit earlier (at 4 pm). All these considered, making a one-day trip seemed to be such a daunting job, causing many people to be hesitant to go to Ulsan. In fact, ticket sales reflected these concerns.

In contrast, having La Poem's concert in Ulsan was a blessing for some La Views--those who live in the city of Ulsan. All of them hoped for the concert hall being filled with people but were also aware of the travel difficulties and ticket sale situation. As the concert was coming closer, three Ulsan La Views talked to one another at the beginning, discussing things they could do in preparation for the Ulsan concert. More La Views living in Ulsan joined the discussion afterwards and ended up carrying out La View Blair's idea together, which was to rent buses that would take people to the train station after concert.

This farewell na-num started with 2 rental buses that would be run for the two separate concert days (26th and 27th). Later, it expanded up to 7 buses, airport-bound included. This new kind of na-num definitely encouraged some La Views who couldn't dare to travel to finally decide to go to the concert.

These Ulsan La Views did not stop there. They thoroughly prepared for running the bus na-num.

They took the responsibility for each farewell bus. Two buses were rented for the Saturday concert, all bound for the train station. La Views Blair and 타샤 took charge of Bus 1, and La Views 네분다응원해요 and 라포엠은원픽 of Bus 2. On Sunday, a total of five buses were run. Three buses were bound for the train station, with La Views 라포엠은원픽, 미야 & Blair, and 강물 taking care of Bus 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Two airport-bound buses were taken care of by two pairs of La Views 구름기둥 & 흑백사진, and 타샤 & 네분다응원해요. These La Views made a list of passengers who were going to get on the same bus, and even had notes of their departure times.

In addition, they made various types of signage (e.g., signboards, vinyl coated paper signs) to direct people to the bus place. Furthermore, holding signboards, they personally ushered people to right buses after the concert. Until the bus moved to leave, they waved goodbye to the passengers, seeing them off with a smile.

This heart-warming na-num reassured the concert-goers about ways to go back home, so that they could have a carefree time with La Poem during the concert. 

After the concert was over, so many La Views left thank-you notes on La Poem official online fan cafe. While reading the notes, I was very touched by Ulsan La Views' generous hospitality. Due to family events, I was unable to go to Ulsan and thus to take the farewell bus. Yet, I was able to feel what the passengers might have felt as they received this novel form of giveaways.

La Poem is amazing. Certainly amazing. 

I can say without a doubt that La View is amazing too. Abso*******lutely amazing. 😍
