When we were named as La View

La View! It's the name that La Poem gave us a year ago.

The word La View sounds natural to me now. But back then, I never expected that I would have a name as a La Poem fan. At that time, La Poem just began as a crossover group and was busy working on their first album. 

Despite their busy schedule, they made sure to communicate with their fans frequently. Due to the Covid pandemic, V-Live communication was a quick and easy way to connect with the fans. 

October 21, 2020, the date on which La Poem radio was scheduled on V-Live. As beginning the radio, La Poem announced that they had a name for us and that it was La View.

They’re explaining what "La View" means. There are two meanings.

1. Where La Poem's eyes stay, there are fans. Where fans’ eyes stay, there is La Poem.

2. La View sounds similar to Love You, suggesting that we (La Poem) love you. 

It was such a pleasant surprise watching La Poem announce our name La View. We were exhilarated with the name and have got used to the name for the past year. 

As celebrating La View day, I think about the time when I have lived in the name of La View. 

My love for La Poem was originated from Chaehoon. It wasn't love at first sight, though. His Il Mondo definitely made a great impact on me and got me interested in him. While the TV show Phantom Singer 3 was advancing its episodes, I realized that my eyes were fixed on him and that I was rooting for his success. My liking for him began to spread to the singers being in the same team. The first quartet to which I had a strong response was the Requiem team. Chaehoon, Kihun, Sunghoon, and bass Ku, Bonsu sang "Requiem" in the show. The performance of these four singers was superb. I wished for the team to remain until the end of the show. At the same time, concerns about losing any members of the team kept me awake the whole night.  

The Requiem team lost one member as the singers were moving up the ladder. Three members were still in the competition. With Minseong joining the team, La Poem was finally formed.

I still don't know what got me so passionate about the entire process during which La Poem was formed and became a winner. Was it because of Covid blue? Was it fate? I was quite indifferent to celebrities or famous/public figures for most of my life, which is not so short. Even when I was interested in them, I had never been engaged in them as passionately as I have been in the past year. So, it is really a mystery to me as to why I have been so immersed in La Poem. 

While living in the name of La View, I have done things that I never expected myself to do. One of them is this one--La Poem blogging. I dare to run this blog in English in the hope that La Poem's name goes global. 

On the eve of La View day, La Poem turned on V-Live to celebrate La View day. They did some art (?) work that sends messages to La View.
